I continue to be amazed by the amount of people I meet each day in the human health service industry who somehow form a genuine connection to our family or through meeting Tyler. I thank you from the tips of my toes to the top of my head for learning about, caring about and reaching for the best for my child. I am in debited to you and every night to the universe I whisper your name and wish upon a star that your light continues to shine on everyone you touch with your warmth and kindness.

Hi All,
I am new to this site, and this is my first time posting.
My son is 14 years old and has cp. He is severely delayed, and has been in an MDS class in a regular ed school for all of his schooling years, instead of the public special ed school, because we wanted him to have to have the opportunity to interact with regular ed kids. We live in Chester County, PA. There are only 2 MDS classes in the county that are in regular ed schools, and Chesco is a big county.

The following alert is from the Disability Budget Coalition:

The Governor and House Democratic leadership are calling for increasing the personal income tax from 3.07% to 3.57% as well as other “revenue enhancers” and a number of budget cuts. The Senate and House Republicans have said that they won’t support any tax increase. The first round of…

The US Supreme Court is hearing a case over an Oregon school district's failure to address a special needs student's learning problems. The child has Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder. The family is seeking reimbursement of the cost of private school tuition at more than $5,000 per month.
The case seems to hinge around the fact that the parents did not work with the district before enrolling their child in the private school. The district insists that they should have given the public sc…

Officials call it a one stop shop for autism services. Families will be able to get information and referrals at ARCH, and there is also an outpatient clinic, an after school program, and a six week summer camp.
