- 15 year old TBI resulting from car accident 5 years ago. She suffered a bilateral frontal brain damage, was in a coma for two months and rehab for additional 10 months. She didn't walk or talk for almost a year and had to relearn everything. she returned to sixth grade with an aide, is now going into 10th grade but has alot of difficult with memory, focus and staying on task. She suffers from seizures and has a hard time with her speech. Over all though, she's an inspiration to our whole family and has blessed us beyond compare! I'm a nurse so I tend to handle a good bit of her medical management, which comes in handy.

- As a nurse I hated the endicrine system (Pituitary etc. ) Now I have a daughter not only with a brain injury but also a non functioning pituitary, talk about turn arounds...
