oh that would be great. We are planning to move-primarily to be closer to family and friends-we dont really have anyone else out by us-all in delco. And also our house now has a lot of steps to go up to the bed rooms and and it is getting more dificult to carry gabrielle up the stairs. If you have that info that would be great-especially for if and when we move. I am not really sure what gabrielle qualifies for or not-we just found she was covered for diapers under her 2nd ins keystone mercy-and would have been since she was 3!!!!!

funny story!!!! did you deliver early? I delivered at 27 weeks-Daniel weighed 1 pound 14 ounces and Gabrielle weighed 1 pound-and even dropped to 13 ounces....my little miracles. I delivered at Lankenau--loved it there. And anytime we have had to go to Chester county-they have been wonderful. Does you son us a lot of adaptive equipment? have you had to make any adjustments to your house?

oh okay-just curious. yes gabrielle eats everything too-but we dont have to puree anything. Her g tube was put when she turned 2-she only weighed 15 pounds-and we had tried everything-she ate just not enough-so even from the start it was only at night--but then i swear the g-tube jump started her eating and she really put on weight. She is on the charts now-but the tube really helps when she is sick-cause then she doesnt eat anything. We have been so happy with all of her care at CHOP-and fortunatly when she is really sick we can take her to chester co hospital cause their peds floor is CHOP doctors!!!

oh okay. We do everything at CHOP-we did not have a good experience with Dupont at all. I am curious to see what they say at the CP clinic. Can you tell me more about your son--disability/medical wise? do you have other children/

she does require assistance with a lot but she trys to do things. She does have a G-tube in but we only use it at night-she eats everything during the day--which she does need some assitance with. She doesnt say much at school-so they have her use some switches but she says more at home-and doesnt use switch toys. We are having an evaluation at the CP clinic at CHOP-next tue-have you been there?

My daughter was in Kerri's class the last 2 years and now she is moving into Deb's class. She is still not able to walk-she has the concept down-but has weakend trunk muscles that hold her back. She is starting to still much better now. On some levels she is a typical happy 4.5 year old. We go down to OCNJ a lot and she loves to be in the ocean and go on all the rides-the tilt a whirl and roller coaster are her favorites!! She has a twin brother so that helps-she loves to try to imitate him. He does not have any disablities. SHe does have limited vocabulary but she can def get her point across!

i will have to call them. i do know off hand that Garnet Valley school has an inclusion program-would that be the same? Gabrielle gets -Pt-ot-speech and vision therapy. From a cognitive stand point she is very bright and understands everything-and has very typical age appropriate behavior-she is just has a limited vocab.

Hi All,
I am new to this site, and this is my first time posting.

My son is 14 years old and has cp. He is severely delayed, and has been in an MDS class in a regular ed school for all of his schooling years, instead of the public special ed school, because we wanted him to have to have the opportunity to interact with regular ed kids. We live in Chester County, PA. There are only 2 MDS classes in the county that are in regular ed schools, and Chesco is a big county.

They want to change his pr… Continue
