- I am the mother of 2 children ( soon to be 3). My oldest child, Aden, is 5 years old. Aden was diagnosed with CP when he was 4 months old. I am a stay at home mom. I feel blessed to be able to stay at home and care for Aden and his special needs. Aden is currently in pre-school. He will be starting kindergarden in the fall. Aden's CP affects all areas of his body. Aden is weak in his neck and trunk, and tight in all 4 limbs. He needs special seating to support him and can bare wieght in his legs with support. Aden depends on us for all his care. He does say "didda" for "daddy" and has said other words inconsistantly. Aden does use some sign language, and eye gaze. He is currently starting to work with an AT device. He is a happy, beautiful boy, whom we love very much.
